Visual design refers to all of the color, typography, graphics, imagery, and essentially everything that aides to the overall look and feel of the final product.
Visual design (or UI design) is essential to the UX process. Even if a product functions well, users won’t want to use it if it doesn’t look appealing or inviting. Visual designers have a keen understanding of things like color theory that help a digital product not only look good but also help users navigate the product easily.
