Vibes user experience workshops

Vibes has built a variety of platforms to cover the text message programs they manage. Fuzzy Math was asked to help create a consistent user experience across the board.

Expert review

Since we were working with so many different platforms, we needed to take stock of what was currently being used.

We looked through many of the platforms, focusing on navigation, forms, and page layout. We noted what we thought were the best ideas and also what could use some fixing up.

Workshops

Our next step was to talk with the Vibes team and find out what they thought about their current offerings, what worked and what didn't, as well as what an ideal solution would be.

We sat down with their team and lead them through various exercises that allowed us to find out what mattered to them. We got a good perspective from marketing, sales, and the tech team.

Personas

Once we heard what the Vibes team wanted out of the new system, we needed to define who was going to be using the system.

We started by working with the Vibes team on a couple personas for the client side of the new platform and then moved into creating personas for the Vibes team itself. These personas helped us to role play throughout the design process.

Wireframes

We then moved into building wireframes of the proposed system. We took the knowledge we gathered from the site review and integrated those findings with the idealized version of the platform we heard about from the Vibes team.

After a few rounds of revisions, the Vibes team was happy with the proposed idea, but wanted to see it in action.

Graphic design

Due to the fact that the platform was full of rich interactions, a clickable prototype was the best way to show off how the new platform would feel.

Using HTML/CSS and a little bit of javascript, we were able to give the Vibes team a pretty realistic taste of what their new platform could be.

Project overview

Managing roughly 8,000 national text message programs, Vibes needed a little help creating a consistent user experience throughout their entire catalogue of platforms.

Fuzzy Math started out by looking at the current set of tools Vibes was using, finding commonality between them, and then building an interaction library to meet their needs.

In order to get the entire Vibes team on board with the new ideas, clickable prototypes were created to make sure everyone was on the same page.
