Chicago Loop Alliance Art Loop Open

The Chicago Loop Alliance was getting ready to launch the inaugural Art Loop Open. Fuzzy Math was asked to make sure the website was spot-on.

Wireframes

Using personas and ecosystem maps that the team from IIT Institute of Design put together, we delivered wireframes for all of the key pages.

We then used the wireframes to gather feedback, achieve consensus, and move into the design phase of the project.

Graphic design

Using the wireframes as a layout guide and the Art Loop Open logo for a brand guideline, we created multiple options for the home page design.

Once a design direction was decided, we laid out the rest of the pages.

HTML & CSS

Working with Breakthrough Technologies, we were able to get the design cut, coded, and live within a tight time budget.

Project overview

To compliment their multi-venue public Art Loop Open, the Chicago Loop Alliance needed a site that gave visitors a place to vote on and discuss artwork, as well as showcase artists and their work across venues.

To fulfill their goals, we created a dynamic site focusing on engaging visitors and creating interest in exploring the Art Loop Open venues, artists, and historic Loop neighborhood.

Using wireframes as the foundation, we created several visual design mock-ups before moving forward with one, taking it from paper to pixels.
